DETAILS:

• Dancers must be registered by their home studio.

• Costumes are not to be worn for performances. The uniform for performances is black rehearsal/class wear. We hope that this will encourage a relaxed atmosphere and highlight the idea that we are here to learn together and share in our preparations for our competition season.

• A Mentor Panel consisting of teachers from each registered studio will share ideas and lessons with Unite dancers. Mentors will choose to recognize groups and dancers for qualities that inspire, encourage and brighten our dance community! Unite Mentors will also instruct workshops throughout the weekend.

• On the final day, dancers will perform in the Finale Showcase. Parents, friends and community members can purchase tickets and be a part of our audience! Tickets will be available at the door for $10 each. Each studio will perform a selection of their favourite dances and each Unite group will perform a piece choreographed by Sarah Devito that will be learned over over weekend.

• Workshops
Each level will participate in 4 workshops over the course of the weekend. Instructors from participating studios will share the styles they are most passionate about with Unite dancers. During these workshops Instructors will provide classes that introduce new techniques and ideas in ways that allow dancers to build friendships and make new connections.
Dancers will have the opportunity to acknowledge the talents, efforts and positive qualities of their peers with Peer Recognition Awards.
